Hermetic Library Newsletter - Issue #32 (No, sir, I'm not being an alarmist)

Hermetic Library Newsletter - Issue #32 (No, sir, I'm not being an alarmist)
By John Bell the Librarian • Issue #59 • View online
This week I’ve got a new special offer collaboration with Brimstone Apparel, a “No, sir, I’m not being an alarmist” meme, the start of Spooky Season, Unicursal LOVE IS THE LAW Rainbow and UwU / Θώθ Meme merch, Boleskine Moleskine, nostalgia for the Pagan Hierarchy, some Mr Block “I don’t believe in it” memes, reminders, updates, quotes, reviews, and more!
And, as always, I worked on various other things on website, blog, and more … Enjoy!

Brimstone Apparel
In collaboration with Brimstone Apparel, through October, as especial thanks from us both, we’re running an exclusive limited-time special offer. Anyone willing and able to support Hermetic Library by joining the new Saturn (Fashionist) tier will get for their first month 100% off one regular catalogue item of their choice in addition to all the other awesome included perks, merch, giveaways, and offers.

Alarmists
Mary L Trump
Since the so-called alarmists have been right about everything, can we concede that they weren't, in fact, being alarmists?
No, sir, I am not being an alarmist
No, sir, I am not being an alarmist
I think that’s, in fact, being a “Cassandra”.
Spooky season
Since it’s September and people are again wondering when Spooky Season actually starts, I want to take a moment to remind you all that every day can be Halloween if you truly believe it strongly enough in your little dark hearts.
Also a warning: anyone putting yule shit out before turkey day is at least over will be fed to Krampus. Maybe even after then, just for fun.
Merch
I’ve added the newest design refresh in the ongoing experiment this year in Patron merch. This is the second design in the sequence of four posters that I have lined up for merch refresh. Here it is!
Unicursal LOVE IS THE LAW Rainbow
Unicursal LOVE IS THE LAW Rainbow
This is the Unicursal LOVE IS THE LAW Rainbow propaganda that I created for sharing in solidarity on Pride. As a reminder this is the second in the first series of four designs, which I’m setting up this year for poster merch. Here’s the full set of four.
After months, I’ve finally gotten the sample of the UwU / Θώθ Meme Sticker that’s starting to go out now! (Like, you know, it would have been nice to get it earlier so I had time to fix things if something wasn’t right?)
Here’s a short video of me checking out a sample of new merch rewards for Patrons, a die-cut UwU / Θώθ Meme sticker!

This sample was super late arriving. In fact, the first of these is going out this month already, so that means it was months late. But, it arrived finally! Still a few months to get in on this one. Just have to become a patron with this perk before the design retires. (Retired designs still go out to everyone that was making progress towards it, just that no one pledging after that will get it.)
Boleskine Moleskine
Andrew Snowdon (he/they//him/them)
The Thelemite advantage is having had to figure out “Boleskine” first https://t.co/IBrR7vclfe
Boleskine and Moleskine. Although, apparently, “mole-skin” isn’t exactly unacceptable.
The funny thing is, tbh, I correctly knew one but didn’t consider the other.
To be fair, I still mispronounce Teva on accident, and mangle Chick-fil-A on purpose.
Pagan Hierarchy
…who looks down on whom…
…who looks down on whom…
Way back even before the before times, there was this Pagan Hierarchy by Ashley Yakeley. Let’s not forget the simplification!
Seeing this again was a blast from the past. And I’m amazed this is still online. I thought it went away, tbh.
Yes, it’s a joke. Yes, it’s also kinda on point. Still.
Mr Block
Mr. Block: Don’t start talking again about that face mask. I don’t believe in it.
Mr. Block: Don’t start talking again about that science. I don’t believe in it.
Mr. Block: Don’t start talking again about that magick. I don’t believe in it.
Mr. Block: Don’t start talking again about that New English Qabalah. I don’t believe in it.
What? Too soon?
